A short visit to Eiffel Tower

Industrial Revolution in Europe brought a new trend: the use of metallurgy in construction. Because of this the engineer’s role has become increasingly important, in some cases rivaling that of the architect. Built in 1889, the Eiffel Tower in Paris, is probably the most famous example of this new utilization of the metal. Tower is wearing the name of the architect, designer and engineer who built it.

Eiffel Tower is the highest structure in Paris and was for 40 years, the world’s highest building. Metal work, whose structure is only made of iron, is fairly light and strength of wind at high speeds. One of the reasons to visit the Eiffel Tower is unique, is just the fact that the structure is opened and is in the wind. Opened structure of the tower allows visitors to see the tower – can stand on one side and watch the skeleton tower on the other side, or to another floor of the tower.

Eiffel Tower was originally built for the World Exhibition of 1889, as commemorating the 100th anniversary of the French Revolution. During construction and even after its completion, many French have considered the structure being horrible and totally inestetic. With time, however, criticisms were effervescent and Eiffel Tower has become the foremost symbol of Paris and sightseeing and of the whole France.

Eiffel Tower is a tourist attraction that has received over the years more than 200 million tourists. There are people today who lumped the Eiffel Tower as a cliche, but few are those who can’t take their eyes off it at night, when every time the city if flooded in a light rain. Eiffel Tower came to be confused with the city of Paris and nobody can imagine “City of Light” without the Eiffel Tower and a visit to Paris is incomplete without a stop at the top of the Eiffel Tower.

Eiffel Seine is one of the Paris hotels which wears the name of this tower and was renovated in 2006 in a new artistic style. The Hotel is a priceless 3-stars one and has a unique decor.

Extraordinary situated, it is just few minutes aways from the Eiffel Tower.
